Portia hails from Atlanta GA. She originally started training in Egyptian style raks sharki, but was inspired to learn tribal style bellydance after seeing Troupe Muraja perform at Saturday Market while she was visiting Eugene. She jumped in with both feet to attend workshops at TribalCon and TribalCafe, before moving to Eugene and joining Sabine's classes. She joined Tribalation! in December of 2006, and has since performed with the troupe in Oregon, Washington, and California. When she's not dancing, Portia can be found bicycling with her husband, cuddling her fat kitty cat, and playing around on tribe.
